Reflection

On my audition day i had about 2:46 of my piece. As i have mentioned before the stimuli for my piece is Beauty and the Beast, i used theses characters in a way that i could take the influence of domestic abuse and decided on the name 'beauty and abuse' from this point i decided i would make my piece lyrical and used the song 'love the way you lie part 2' this song is about a relationship that has taken a turn for the worse and the woman is telling her side of the story. My main motif throughout the piece was the two chairs


throughout the piece we used the chairs several times in different ways, at the beginning we used them during a short sequence of chair dancing, mid way we rotated them and created movements contacting each other whilst on them again while facing different directions and at the end of the piece we use them to hide behind and fight with.

i feel that our message could have been portrayed alot better if neither of use had been as nervous, this is something we will work on for the show as we want it to be a very strong story. 

We decided to experiment with face paint for our audition to see what effect it would give the piece, i feel it adds to the emotion of the story and have decided to keep it in the piece for the show. I feel that overall the audition went well and we put energy into all movements and our teamwork was strong.

i feel my work can be improved by tidying what i already have created and finishing the choreography, also by adding more emotion and facial expressions.

My experience creating a Duo was actually a pleasant one, i have really enjoyed creating this piece and would defiantly do it again.

i learnt to think of both peoples ability's and how they could contrast and support each other. In the future i would try to play around with some more styles and more contact work.

i feel that i have improved my personal targets a lot, especially my confidence, i am really happy with how much my confidence within the class and in performances has improved and will continue to work on this when creating a solo next term.

I am going to improve on being able to keep up with assignments and keeping track of all assignments and dates they have to be in as i feel i have struggled with this a lot.
